Another Call to the Police
It’s not very often that I can say that the last number dialed from my phone was to 911. In fact, now that I think about it this is the first time that I’ve ever needed to call them.
At least it has been about 3 years or so since I last had to deal with a crazy neighbor, too.
I doubt that I’m the only one from my building that made a call to the RCMP today. I woke up at about 6:30am to some guy yelling and making noises and whatnot out in the hallway of my apartment building. The reason he was there and the things he was saying wasn’t really important, the gist of it was that he and the person in the apartment across the hall had a beef with each other.
After a bit, things escalated to where he pulled the fire alarm a number of times. It was at this point that I called 911 to notify both the RCMP and the fire department. As I said above though, there was more than enough noise that I’m sure I wasn’t the only person to make the call.
A while later the police showed up and de-escalated things, followed by the fire department to reset the fire alarm.
Unlike the last time something like this happened to me, I don’t think that there is anything that could lead that guy to think I had anything to do with the incident. I just tried to do my own thing, albeit quietly, and the police eventually came and picked him up.
Oh, the excitement!
